Fun at the movies.

Going to the movies is always fun, especially if you're a kid. Well, it is even more fun when it is in 3-D. Here we are with Charlie and Grace watching Bolt in 3-D. Even Joey and Andy came along and happily wore their 3-D shades! Me, Bryce, Charlie, Maci, and Grace (Kaity is taking the picture)

Swimmin in January

I have been meaning to take the kids swimming at our gym for the longest time and I never seem to remember. Well, on Saturday I remembered and after I put in a good workout, we headed down to the pool where Maci and Bryce had so much fun. While we were there I was sitting there watching them have a blast I got mad at myself for not having done this yet this winter. After all, it is FREE, and the pool is inside so we can swim no matter the weather (except lightning of course)! It was actually 32 degrees on our way to the gym that morning. We will definitely be doing more swimming now. Maci also managed to go down the "big people" slide once before getting busted by a lifeguard.

Wuby

When my brother was just a young little boy and thought puberty and poverty were the same thing, I gave him the nick name of "Wuby". I had tried many different nick names before that, but my mother always put an end to them; something about self esteem and not tearing it down.... But this nickname was different. No one could describe why, but everyone agreed, Wuby was the perfect nickname. Not even our mom could stop it.

With in weeks, everyone was referring to my brother as Wuby. To this day, all of his friends call him Wuby. In high school, his teachers called him Wuby. When he graduated, they included Wuby in the name used to summon him on stage to receive his diploma. He has had jobs where people only knew him by Wuby and not by his real name.

I guess what I am trying to say is that giving my brother his Wuby nickname is probably one of the top 5 accomplishments of my life.
