See What's Going on

Dallas Zoo

Sunday, November 30, 2008

Last week we made our first trip to the Dallas Zoo since we moved here 2 1/2 years ago. The kids had fun because we went with Grandma and Grandpa Z who were in town for Thanksgiving. Charlie and Grace went too, and it's always fun when they're around. The kids especially loved the pony rides there.

Holiday Happenings

Maci and I went to the Nutcracker a few weeks ago with our friends Cristie and Soli. I have never seen The Nutcracker and thought it was great! Maci, on the other hand, couldn't decide if she liked it. She spent half of the time dancing in her seat imitating the dancers on stage. The other half of the time she was fidgeting and wanting to leave. Overall, she did like it and wants to be a ballerina like the girls on stage.

Missing Children!!

Saturday, November 22, 2008

HELP!! My children are MISSING!! The one's living here with me now are clearly imposters! You see, neither of these children like Rice Krispty Treats! Yep! You heard that right...do NOT like Rice Krispty Treats! Considering I can eat them by the panful, there is no way a child of mine could NOT like them! These are definitely not my children.

Our week of Halloween

Saturday, November 01, 2008

This past week we have been up to no good.......you know, eating lots of candy, staying up late, and partying. Yep, the whole family! It has been fun, but any leftover candy is now going into the garbage can. Let's recap what we did this week now. I'll start with myself. I had a root canal on Monday. It went well...I guess. I've never had one before and haven't had any pain, so I would say that is pretty good. We also visited a pumpkin patch with Jake and Sam (neighbor boys). We had tons of fun at our ward trunk or treat. The other Zollinger's and Holgerson's came along for some chili, carnival games, and candy! I only took one picture that night since I was in charge of the YW game (ghost bowling). We partied hard in preschool too. Maci lucked out because she didn't get to wear her costume to school, but she got to dress up with my class. We ended the week with the Owens coming over for a delicious taco dinner, followed by some fun trick or treating. Maci and her friend Soli got down to business and covered our whole street in record time. And, although Bryce and Collin (yes these are the duo from the mud incident a few posts back) are smaller, they quickly caught on to the whole trick or treating thing and held their own. Like I said, we had a blast, but I'm glad it's over. Bye, Bye Candy!!!
