BYU Football, Friends, and Family

A few weekends ago we met some friends up in Utah for a few reasons. The biggest and most important reason was the BYU football game (sorry Scott, your bday party came in 2nd)! We met the Fullers, Vincents, and Warrens and had a weekend of fun. The guys did their thing. Golf and watch sports. Us girls did our thing. Bake, chat, and eat! And Angie's mom watched the kids...Thanks Linda!!

The football game was tons of fun. Of course BYU won, or maybe I should say humiliated UCLA 59-0! Plus, the weather was PERFECT! I was afraid to come home to our hot Texas weather, but luckily Hurricane Ike cooled things down quite a bit, and the weather has been perfect here as well.

We also celebrated Scott's 30th birthday. Hmmm...does someone love BYU football?!?! (Tobi, you win the prize for best gift!) It was a sports themed suprise party that had something for everyone. Angie rented a bunch of sports games for some fun competition. This picture is of Joey doing the football throw. I think he won the gold medal for the basketball shootout though. And, of course, Angie didn't forget about all the kids when planning the party. They got to take a whack at a pinata and load up on candy.
Whenever we visit Utah we never have quite enough time to visit all our friends and family that we need to. We did get to BBQ with the Allens and eat Sunday dinner at the Johnsons. Thanks everyone!

I also don't want to forget to thank Katie and Adam for letting us stay with them (Bryce said to thank you for letting him play with Sammy too). We didn't get any pictures with them or the kids, but Maci and Bryce had fun playing with Ally, Vaughn, and Sammy Boy II.

The Wiggly Place

Friends+ food+ The Wiggly Place= The Best Friday EVER!

The Wiggly Place actually was pretty fun this morning. I guess it is always fun for the kiddos, but I could stand it much more easily today. It was FREE to get in, plus it wasn't very crowded. In the past the Wiggly Place has been a place that I could go and take the kids to play and stay for hours because they are having so much fun. Today I got a little worried though when Bryce started getting whiny and acting tired when we hadn't even been there for two hours. Luckily, Wags the Dog made an appearance and perked Bryce right up for another half hour or so. He fell asleep on the ride home (which is practically around the block) and has been sleeping for almost 3 hours now! Like I said...Best Friday EVER!!
