See What's Going on

A few more things......

Sunday, December 23, 2007

Since we leave for Arizona at 7am on Christmas morning it will be awhile before I am able to post again. So, here are a few more pictures to hold all of you over until we get back.

Bryce loves his new dinosaurs.......ROAR!!!!!!

Joey watched "How to Eat Fried Worms" with Maci the other night. They were BOTH very into the movie and as I'm sure you can all imagine, Maci had tons of questions throughout the whole movie.

All Bryce wants for Christmas is a few thick cords to bite on as two new teeth are trying to break through.

Introducing...........

Keelie Jo Goodman. My sister Cassie had her first baby on December 13th. She wieghed 6lb 14oz. This post is a little late, but I still wanted to do it because I know I have lots of friends from growing up that probably can't even believe Cassie is old enough to be married, let alone have a baby.Cassie and Joe are soooo excited. Evidentally, Joe kept saying " This is my daughter" over and over again. He's clearly a very proud daddy. We can't wait to see her at Christmas. Maci is ready to babysit too!!

Keeping the beat!

Grandma Robin gave Bryce a little car that he can walk behind, be pushed in, and a couple of other things for his birthday. In the steering wheel of this car there is a piece with a bunch of little buttons that make different car sounds and also play music. Well, Maci pulled it out of the steering wheel and has been carrying it around and dancing with it all day long. This video was taken while she was eating breakfast.

Joey is mad at me for putting batteries in the thing, but really I was being smart because this is the kind of thing that will entertain Maci for the next week. Joey just needs to learn to block out those annoying kid sounds like I do.

ONE YEAR older and wiser too.........

Happy Birthday to BRYCE!! Yesterday was Bryce's 1st birthday and we celebrated in style. We invited a few friends over for the big event. Actually, as much as I love throwing parties we kept it simple.....after all, he is only one years old. Let's face it, unless it is your own child, going to a one year olds birthday party is not the most exciting way to spend an evening. So, we decided to treat our nice party goers to a yummy taco dinner. Bryce wasn't very happy when we brought out the cake. He wanted to grab the lit candle. Needless to say he was instantly happy the second the first fistful of cake went into his mouth. After he opened a few presents the older kids quickly took over by playing with the new toys. Luckily Bryce was content playing with his new soft football from Grandma Brenda and so he didn't care.

Happy (early) Birthday Maci!

Maci's birthday is on the 13th, but we had her party yesterday (1st) to avoid getting too close to Christmas. We had a little cooking party because I found these cute little kits at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that included an apron, rolling pin, cookie cutters, measuring spoons, a wooden spoon, a wire whisk and even a cookie sheet and cake pan. These things were all kid size and great quality so we got one of these for each of the kids. During the party the kids put on their aprons and used their rolling pins to make their own individual pizza's. While the pizza's were cooking they each got a slab of cookie dough to roll out and use their little cookie cutters with. The children were all were all very serious and absolutely loved doing this. Then they got to eat all of their hard work.

Praying for the best, but expecting the worst......

One day last week as I kept on finding Bryce doing one thing after another that he couldn't and shouldn't be doing, I decided to snap a few shots of him in action. As Bryce gets closer to walking I can't help but think of the next phase we are entering into with him. I am not sure whether to scream, cry, or run away! He finds a way to get things that you thought were for sure out of his reach or things become hazards that you never would have thought were hazards. To be honest, I know we are in for a lot with this little guy.....but I wouldn't have it any other way.
