March is a great month. Spring is here and that is great because I am sick of rain. Actually
the weather here in Pleasanton has been perfect the past week. Seventy Five degrees and
sunny. That brings up an interesting topic that seems to come up a lot with people I know. Which is better:
Southern California, or Northern California?



First of all I would like to point out that people in Northern California take
this debate much more seriously than people in Southern California. In fact, I doubt
people in Southern California even realize there is a debate. That brings me to my
first point. Poeple in Northern California take themseleves way too seriously. Oddly enough,
this also brings me to my second point. People in Southern California don't take things
seriously enough.



Allow me to illustrate. All over here in Northern California, I see people flaunting their
Northern California pride with bumper stickers that say "Nor Cal". The funny thing is,
I have never seen a bumper sticker in Southern California that says "So Cal".



I know what you are all thinking, you can't make these broad sweeping generalizations. My answer
to that is of course I can. This is a silly little webpage, and this is an especially silly
little article I am writing. Here is what it is going to come down to. Southern California
has better weather (its not even a contest there), but current events in Northern California tend
to spur more stimulating conversations. Plus, Northern California is home to William Hung.
I guess it's a tie.
